The wedding is over, beautiful weather, beautiful bride, a beautiful setting on Banook lake, everything went off without a hitch , as they say, well I guess there was one hitch, Gilbert and Jenny got hitched. Small world, the Justice of the Peace used to be my Commanding Officer when I flew off HMCS Annapolis forty years ago, I met a guy I worked with at the jail for 25 years, and I discovered I went to school with the brides grandmother, I have photos from grade five, can`t wait to dig them out, our furniture is still in storage! Heading to our Nova Scotia home in Chester tomorrow!

Shoreham Village in Chester is a home for the elderly and a nursing home, but it is also a "Campus For The Living! That's the part Trish and I are moving into! I will probably volunteer to deliver meals to those that don't leave their apartments and Trish plans to do some grocery shopping for those that are unable to do so! Also I will be driving taxi during the day, driving the community bus and maybe even the Shoreham bus! We plan to keep busy. We may move into the nursing home about thirty years from now!!!! I also plan to run a cribbage tournament! I would also like to start a program teaching the elderly to use a computer and write their life stories! I have written my life story in rhyme, and will share it with you, one paragraph at a time!!

A change of plans, and homes, we are not moving in to the little house in Western Shore, we (are) moving in to a two bedroom apartment at Shoreham, to those not from Chester, Shoreham is the home for the elderly in Chester, we have had our names in for a few years and lucked in yesterday! We know, we know, you don't see us as elderly, but I have qualified for 3 years and Trish is qualified because she hangs around with an old man! Sylvia's mother has moved into nursing care and we are moving into her place on August 1st! It may not be a house, but it is still "ournovascotiahome".

Had a nice BBQ with our friend Donna from St. Lawrence NFLD, Craig , her favourite son-in-law did the cooking, of course Jacque contributed the salads (Donna's recipes). Thursday night we attended the Tattoo, thanks to my sister, great show, Trish broke down during the Afghanistan tribute, she has two sons serving there now! Taking Donna to the airport this am! Donna's son Billy survived the 2007 disaster in Afghanistan, when six of his friends died, including Kevin Kennedy of St. Lawrence who Billy grew up with! Billy has served twice and his wife also did a tour in Afghanistan

Welcome to our new, but not so new followers, first was the faithful Lucy & Andy, then Dale & Brian, niece Sharon and another great faithful Joanne! Since arriving home to the great lobster supper, Brian then went on to cook mackeral the next night, then Moose-burgers with Blue Cheese, then topped it all off with Drunken Chicken on Father's Day. We have been so busy since arriving back in N.S., camping most days on the South Shore, looking for a house,(we found one in Western Shore) , for our Louisiana friends Western Shore is on the South Shore, makes sense, hey? Only to a Maritimer!

Across the beautiful New Brunswick and down to P.E.I, to the rockbound coast of Newfoundland, I'll love them 'til I die, but if God came down upon this earth, and asked a place to rest, I'd take him to my Nova Scotia Home, the place that I love best!!! Clarence (Hank) Snow

Brian serves up the ultimate maritime dinner on our return, Lobster!

We are camping aroiund Nova Scotia , campgrounds and friends who let us plug in! We just had a wonderful three day rest at Annapolis River Campground in Bridgetown N. S. with friends Cathy & Brian, watched some great fireworks on Canada Day, now heading up the Valley to visit my long lost son, Rob.
We are very relaxed because we have found our new Nova Scotia home in Western Shore, near where we used to live prior to our Snowbird Odessey! We move in on August 1st, meanwhile we have a busy schedule, see our doctors, sign a lease, see our friend Donna from St. Lawrence, Newfoundland, go to the Tattoo, then settle into Cathy & Brian's for a week in preparation for her daughter's wedding!
